About the event

Looking forward to having you join us in this curated networking event of Tech, Finance and Other professionals in Toronto while supporting a worthy cause.

The aim of this event is to raise funds to execute on the vision of education, entrepreneurship and employment of Aravanai with the help of its on the ground partner Yarl IT Hub.

Meet and mingle with fellow entrepreneurs and professionals, get to know Aravanai's effort to empower the startup ecosystem in underserved communities while being delighted by appetizers by Curatus, Sri Lankan dishes by Fusion By T and wine pairing by Bahi Kandavel. The event will be captured by Ninaivukal Gana.

Aravanai is the extension of iTEEE Foundation which was founded by Rajan Bala, Baskar Puvanathasan and Sen Sachchi in 2017 as a non profit organization, a registered Charitable organization as of Dec 2022. Aravanai has been providing mentorship to Yarl IT Hub participants around bootstrapping businesses and one of the key pillars around forming Yarl Geek Accelerator, a 6 month incubator.  Aravanai mentors also are part of ongoing mentorship to the startups founded through Yarl IT Hub.

Aravanai recently has influenced doing hands on AWS cloud training to Computer Science students at the University of Jaffna, the class ran for one semester with 70 students taught by Dr. Ruban Kandavanam of Aravanai.  The funds raised continue making measurable impact on the ground. Yarl IT Hub will provide more quantifiable impact on the work we have done with YiT.

In this gathering we will have Shan Kumar flying in to be the keynote speaker. Shan is the president of iTEEE Foundation who bootstrapped Yarl IT Hub in Jaffna and is one of the board of directors for Yarl IT Hub. Shan has held C-suite roles such as the CFO of Altierre that built the low power high range sensors to convert sales. In addition he had Finance executive roles at Albertsons and Safeway, one of the largest retail chains in the US.

In addition to the keynote speech we will have folks from Yarl IT hub join to present updates on what are the impact that has been made through donations such as the one we are about to raise.
